Fr. Michael was the Rector of St. Peter’s Church in Parkstone, Poole 2013 - March 2019 and was Chair of Governors of Baden-Powell & St. Peter’s Junior School from 2014 until March 2019. Since Ordination as a Priest in 1981 he has worked in Parishes in London, Essex and Kent and prior to Ordination he was a secondary school history teacher.
Alongside Parish work Fr. Michael has served in a range of Educational roles. He has been a School Governor since 1987 and has at one time or another chaired six different Governing Bodies spanning all phases and categories of school.
Fr. Michael chaired the Diocesan Board of Education and the Schools Committee of the Diocese of Rochester and was involved in supporting the work of Church Schools across the Diocese. He was also, for some years, an inspector of Church schools and represented the Diocese on the Kent Forum for Lifetime Learning. He has carried out research and training in School worship and Chaplaincy and has been involved in leading collective worship across the entire school age range pretty well every week for over 30 years. He currently sits on Poole Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education having previously sat on the equivalent body in the London Borough of Bromley. As a member of the Interim Board that created the Trust, Fr. Michael led the Staffing workstream. Father Michael was a Member of one of the previous founding Trusts and will continue this role within Coastal Learning Partnership.

Louise has a degree in Theology and Applied Social Sciences and an MTH in Pastoral Theology. She is currently Vicar of Lilliput and an Assistant Director of Ordinands in the Diocese of Salisbury as well as being a Bishop’s Advisor on National selection panels.
Louise moved to Lilliput in 2017 having previously served as a governor for the primary school in her previous parish. On arriving in Lilliput she first became Foundation governor at Lilliput Infant School before moving on to the Trust board of one of the founding Trusts in July 2019. Louise has continued her Trustee role within Coastal Learning Partnership as the Chair of the Achievement Committee.

Jane is Policy Advisor to the Vice Chancellor at Bournemouth University, a role which combines political and public affairs with communications. She has experience before joining the university in leading large teams and as a member of executive management teams in both large and small businesses, while working as a senior in-house lawyer. Jane has managed a wide range of complex legal and regulatory issues in a global context. She balances a commercial approach with high standards, with a focus on achieving the best possible results for the business in a demanding environment under severe time pressure. Before joining BU, Jane worked at British Gas for five years and was a member of the British Gas Executive Management team, leading a legal team of 40 and was a founder member of the leadership development board. Before joining British Gas, Jane worked for two financial services companies and was responsible for their global legal and regulatory work, managing a budget of around £2m and participating as a member of their executive management teams.

The Rev'd Michael Smith is currently Rector of the Parish of Winton, Moordown and Charminster to the north of Bournemouth town centre where he's been since 2018. Prior to this, Michael was Vicar in Basingstoke in a church that shared their worship space with the three form entry primary school where he was also ex-officio Governor. Prior to ordination in 2011 Michael worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years in various sales, marketing and development roles. He's a Trustee of the charity Women in the Church (WATCH) and is a volunteer Visitors' Chaplain at Winchester Cathedral as well as being on the Mother Church Action and Advisory Group. Michael is a keen cyclist in his spare time and enjoys an eclectic taste in music.

Jeff leads the Education team and oversees all of its work with schools, academies and Further & Higher education. He works alongside and advises the Bishop of Winchester and the Bishop of Portsmouth, and the Diocesan Board of Education in the formation of strategy and all aspects of education policy. Jeff represents the Diocese at regional and national level in any aspect of education. He represents the Diocese at our Anglican Foundation University in Winchester on its Foundation Committee and is a Trustee at the University’s Multi Academies trust.
